Credits are spent per build task, so a simple tool costs a handful and a full SaaS product takes many rounds of refinement. The first version is rarely the last; plan for a few evenings of back-and-forth. If the app becomes a business, export the code and bring in engineers. Do I need to know how to code?
No. Emergent is built for people who can describe what they want. Technical users get more control through GitHub access and custom agents on the Pro plan.
What is a credit?
A credit is the unit Emergent charges for build work. Each task you give the agents, such as adding a screen or fixing a bug, consumes credits based on its size. The free plan includes 10 a month; paid plans include more and let you buy extra.
Can I use my app for a real business?
Yes. Projects deploy with hosting, a database and APIs. Standard and above give private hosting, and Business and Enterprise plans add team access controls.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your code is yours. Connect GitHub while you are subscribed and keep a copy; you can host it elsewhere at any time.
